Flight Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation for 24 Hours

In case of booking a ticket, when the flight is more than a week ahead of time, you are able to cancel your reservation with no charge within 24 hours after the purchase. 

Non-Refundable and Refundable Tickets.

• Refundable Japan airline tickets will enable you to cancel and get back your money to the original payment method. 
• Non-refundable or discounted fares can be ineligible for a full refund, or you can still get tax refunds or JAL points or travel credits back, depending on fare conditions.

Voluntary Cancellations

After 24 hours free cancellation, you can cancel your flight, but you might incur a cancellation fee or no-show fee depending on the type of ticket. Never cancel without checking the conditions of the fare.

Involuntary Cancellations

JAL will allow you to re-book on the first flight availed or seek a full refund without any extra charges in case JAL cancels or postpones your flight enormously. In case of sickness, there are special provisions that can be made with a valid medical certificate.

Age Requirements

• 0-4: This age is required to be accompanied by a guardian over 18 years old.

• 12 years and above: May be alone on an adult ticket; UMNR service is optional to provide additional assistance.
