Seat Selection & Upgrades

Seat Options

• Bulkhead Seats: Additional legroom in the front of the cabin, which helps shorten the time spent by tall people boarding and/ alighting.

• Forward Seats: These are in the front rows of Economy to be able to board and alight faster.
• Standard Seats: Economy seating, which is regularly priced and is better booked early in order to be in the front row.
• Bula Space Seats: Additional comfort with 34-inch pitch, 6 degree recline, personal screen, USB port and in-seat power.
• Bassinet Seats: These seats are open to passengers travelling with infants; they are on-demand seats.

• Pre-purchase closes 4 hours before international and 3 hours before domestic flights.
• All Economy Class Fiji Airways seats are chargeable, and the passengers of the Comfort, Plus, and Tabua Club Plus are not exempted.

Flight Change Policy

Flight cancellation policy

The airlines provide the option of cancelling flights through the mobile application, online, or by telephone. Depending on your type of ticket and time of cancellation, fees and refunds will apply.

Cancellation within 24hours of booking.

• Eligible for a full refund free of charge.
• Only used in cases where the flight has been booked at least seven days before takeoff.

Cancellation After 24 Hours

• There can be a cancellation fee that will vary according to your ticket type and fare conditions.
• The specific price is dependent on the fare regulations of your ticket.

If your Flight gets cancelled.

• Get 100% of the ticket price in the form of travel credit.
• Anywhere in the network can be done using credit.

Baggage Policies

Cabin Baggage

• Economy Class: 1 piece without excess of 7kg (15lbs), maximum dimensions 118cm (55x40x23cm).
• Business Class: 2 pieces with a weight up to 7 kg, maximum dimensions equal 126cm (56x45x25cm).
• Infants: 3kg (7lbs) extra weight per adult.

Checked Baggage

• Economy Lite: No checked bag.
• Economy Value/Comfort/Plus: 1 2 pieces, each of 30kg.
• Business Value/Plus: 23 pieces, each of up to 30kg.
• Infants: 1 up to 10kg and a stroller.
• The total bag size should not be more than 158cm.

Important Notes

• Any bags with a weight exceeding 30kg or 277cm have to be released as freight.
• Check baggage should not have fragile, valuable or restricted items.

Check-In Options

Online Check-in

• How it Works: Via the app or website.
• Benefits: It saves time in the airport as well, and you can choose your seat and it will provide you with a boarding pass.
• When: Opens up to 48 hours before the departure and closes up to 4 hours before.

Domestic Flights (Fiji Link)

• Mobile Boarding Pass: It provides flight services to Nadi, Suva and Labasa.
• Pro: You can bypass the check-in counter in case you are not carrying baggage.

Airport Check-in

• How it Works: Check-in counters are offered at departure airports in the form of standard counters.
• Time: The counters normally open three hours before the international flights.

Check-in (Where Available) at Resort.

• How it Works: Visitors to some resorts can check into the accommodation.
• Benefits: Bags are tagged and dispatched to the airport, and boarding passes are given.
• Comfort: Spend time in the hotel till the moment when you go through airport security.

Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR) Policy

International Flights

• The airlines lack a more detailed UMNR policy for international routes.
• The airline should be contacted by parents or guardians to make his or her requirements and booking.

Domestic Flights

• Children between the ages of 2-11 years should be accompanied by a 12-year-old passenger.
• Children older than 12 years are adults and can travel independently.

Age Guidelines

• UMNR service is broadly applied to children aged 515.
• UMNR reservation is most commonly obligatory in the ages 7-11.
• Between the ages of 12 and 15, UMNR is optional, as parents decide.

Booking Process

• Make UMNR reservations by phone or the web, through the call centre.
• Include information on the child's travel, drop-off and pick-up guardian.
• Send necessary consent forms and make necessary UMNR charges (about USD 100, depending on route).
