Baggage Policies

Checked baggage 

• Economy Class: 1 carry-on bag, up to 23kg (not all fares include luggage).
• Premium Economy: 2 checked bags, each weighing up to 23kg.
• Business / EgyptAir first class: 23 pieces of baggage, depending on the route, not exceeding 32kg each.

Weight and Size Limits

• No bag may weigh more than 32 kg.
• The length, width and height of the bag shall not exceed 158cm.

Cabin Baggage

• Economy: 1 cabin bag (55 × 40 × 25 cm, ≤10kg) and one personal item (40 × 30 x 15cm).
• Premium Economy: 1 cabin bag (55x40x25cm, less than or equal to 10kg) and 1 personal item.
• Business: 2 cabin bags (55 × 40 × 25 cm, max. 14 kg) and a carry-on.

Check-In Options

Online & Mobile Check-In

• On the mobile application, the airline allows you to web check in Egyptair on the website.
• Check-in can be done online when there are 48 hours for domestic flights and 120 minutes for international flights. It shuts down 90 minutes before a domestic flight.

At the Airport

• In the airports, the airlines have personnel at check-in counters and baggage drop services are provided. 
• Check-in at the airport begins 24 hours before take off on long-haul flights at Cairo and 2400 to 4000 hours before take off on short and medium flights at other airports.

Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR) Policy

Age Requirements

• 5-11: At this age, they need to serve the Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR).
• Ages 12 -17: Children are allowed to travel by themselves. They are able to avail the UMNR service, provided they desire it or their parents.
• Below 5 years: Children cannot move alone. They should be accompanied by a guardian who is 16 years old.

Service Details

• Prior Arrangement: The UMNR service should be booked in advance with the airline before taking the flight.
• UMNR Form: A child should be accompanied by a completed and signed Unaccompanied Minor form by the child's guardian.
• Supervision: The child will be escorted in by the staff during check-in, security, boarding, and the flight to the point at which they will turn over the child to the assigned adult at the destination.
• Fees: The UMNR service typically comes in the ticket cost. In specific routes like between the United States and other countries, a charge of USD 100 might have been imposed.

Booking & Requirements

• Flights: Reserve the UMNR service with Egypt Air or any of its partner airlines. The intercontinental flights could require a certified child car seat.
